This example is for most refrigerated machines. Snack and Model 3589 Machines do not need outriggers adjusted. This video can be be seen lower on the page.
It’s not easy securing the best locations for your vending machine and in the process it can be easy to overlook how you will get your new vending machine actually into your location. This video walks you through the process of using the clam shell to move a vending machine through a tight doorway.
We recommend using this clam shell method with a pallet jack to move the vending machine through doors with a width of more than 33.25 inches. For doorways that are between 31.5 and 33.25 inches, it will be required to remove the building door or the vending machine’s cabinet door and hinge plate from the vending machine.
Begin the procedure by removing three of the four bolts under the machine near the legs. Turn the leg wield assembly to the side, which reduces the front projection and gives the machine the required stability.
Find three bolts below the cabinet that secure the leg plate. With a half-inch socket and wrench, remove and secure them. Loosen the fourth bolt so that the leg weld assembly may be swung to the side as required. Make sure the door is propped open when transporting the equipment. Place the pallet jack from the side under the machine and elevate it to move it.
Safety Tip: We recommend having a minimum of two people maneuver the machine.
Look for the adjustable leg wall assembly and have the cabinet door come around parallel across the wall as the cabinet is moved behind through the doorway. If you're relocating the machine to the left, the correct way to do it is by leading with the cabinet.
When you're finished, replace the leg weld assembly beneath the machine.
