R290, also known as propane, is a flammable refrigerant. Following proper safety procedures is critical to prevent accidents. All warnings are printed on YELLOW decals attached to the back of each refrigerated machine. Some warnings are also printed individually on yellow labels inside the cabinet and/or on the refer decks, depending on machine type. • Read the Service Manual and/or Safety Manual thoroughly before servicing. These can be found in the machine or online. • Servicing should only be done by factory-authorized service personnel. • Disconnect power before servicing • Always confirm the machine uses R290 by checking the serial tag located inside the cabinet or on the back of the machine. • Work in a well-ventilated area. Remove all ignition sources—no cigarettes, candles, or open flames. Avoid using cell phones or electronic devices near the machine. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby. • Review the Safety Data Sheet for R290 to confirm required personal protective equipment.
