Troubleshoot and Fix Double Vending (Model 3589 & 3650)
Description
Double vending could be an indication of a bad iVend sensor, or it could just be a programming error. First, we will focus on evaluating the iVend guaranteed delivery sensor system. iVend is a set of infrared sensors that detect if a product is vended. If the sensors do not detect a product, passing through the sensors, the machine will turn the coils a second time, to ensure the product is dispensed. If the iVend sensor, one set located in the upper portion of the main door, directly to the right of the bill acceptor, and one set located in the beverage area is malfunctioning, that machine may double vend a product.
Now, if the issue is not with the upper or lower iVend sensors it’s important to make sure your machine is programmed correctly.
